Free Intro to R

I just stumbled on a great online training program at www.datacamp.com. The Intro to R is a free course and it is giving me a new understanding about the program, R. I’m so excited about this online course that I’ve almost finished the 4 hours of training in one weekend. The intro course is free… totally free. The other courses are a bit more expensive but if they are anything like this course I’ll strongly consider taking them.

Give it a try and see just how easy it is to use R for your statistics needs.

Stats without the Cost

Ok… Just in case you stumble across this blog and need some help with doing your statistics but don’t have the cash for SPSS or SAS. Well that was my case and I’d like to pay it forward to you… I needed some way to run my numbers but I did not have the cash for SPSS and did not want to drive to campus for all night binges… Enter stage right… R

Yes that is it … R …

I used the R platform to run the everything for my dissertation. It took some time to learn the code for R but after a little reading it all made sense. There are hundreds if not thousands of people developing code and sharing ideas for those using R. I’m done now and I still turn to R for my numbers rather than using the for profit programs available.

Check it out and let me know what you think… visit… http://www.r-project.org/ … to download the program and the specific libraries used to do whatever you want.
